The battery variant requires no tools and no wiring knowledge — it installs inline with an existing Deutsch connector in around 15 minutes. The hardwired variant requires basic mechanical confidence and a multimeter to tap your 12V circuit, similar to fitting driving lights or a USB charger.
The battery variant has a 6+ month battery life and will alert you in the Find My app when charge is getting low. The hardwired variant runs off your bike's 12V system and includes a battery backup that maintains tracking for a minimum of 72 hours even if power is cut.
